Sorghum is a genus of numerous species of grasses, one of which is raised for grain and many of which are used as fodder plants either cultivated or as part of pasture. The plants are cultivated in warmer climates worldwide.

Fenugreek seed: India is the largest producer of pearl millet. Pearl millet is the major food crop as it is used for human consumption also for animal feed and fodder.
Pearl millet can be grown in wide range of soils including sandy soils under rainfed conditions and hence is important in the arid region.
Pearl millet is well adapted to production systems characterized by drought, low soil fertility, and high temperature.
